Abstract
A series of diamides of squaric acid bearing prolinamide fragment were synthesized by condensation reaction of prolinamide esteramide of squaric acid with different amides of aminoacids. Structures of the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectra. The investigation included theoretical study of the molecular structures of the compounds by a DFT method. The theoretical analysis showed that molecules of the compound were stabilized by intramolecular hydrogen bonding.
