Summary.

In this study, there are analysed the scientific publications, dealing with pharmacoeconomical analysis during pregnancy. In historical aspect, the beginning and development of pharmacoeconomics and the necessity of application of complex pharmacoeconomical approach are reviewed. Based on the preformed review of the specialized literature, a conclusion is formulated that the aim of the pharmacoeconomical analysis in pregnant women with diabetes is to support the legislative authorities and the financial institutions in assessment of the necessary treatment costs of diabetes during pregnancy in order to be prevented the embrio-fetal and neonatal complications.
